Bill Westbrook is executive director of the Children's Grand Prix, a charity car
race which raised more than $200,000 in 1996 to benefit the Cancer Kids Fund of
the Children's Health Care Foundation of Minneapolis. The organization planned
to move at the end of October 1996 and, with Keewaydin's help, had negotiated
an arrangement for new space. Suddenly, there was an unexpected change of ownership
in the building and the deal fell through. With only two weeks remaining in
the organization's lease, Westbrook turned to Keewaydin again for help. Even
with short notice, Keewaydin found the Children's Grand Prix an attractive space
on the top floor of a building in the Warehouse District. "They have the reputation in the marketplace and people respect them. I could see it in the way we were treated. We found out on a Thursday that the space was unavailable and Keewaydin found us four more spaces to look at within one working day." Bill Westbrook Executive Director Children's Grand Prix |
