The Minneapolis Crisis Nursery needed more space. In 1994, it turned away more than 2,000 children whose parents sought temporary shelter for their children during a family crisis. While the need was overwhelming, the Nursery's staff and volunteer board felt unprepared. They did not know how to find the right property, negotiate the best prices or manage a complicated remodeling project. Then a health care executive recommended The Keewaydin Group. With Keewaydin's help, a second Crisis Nursery opened on Glenwood Avenue in North Minneapolis in the fall of 1997.

"The most wonderful part about working with Keewaydin was that we felt we were a paying client. That's how well they treated us."
