During the summer of 2000, Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest identified a facility in Maplewood they thought would be appropriate for their "Exchange City" program.  Keewaydin assisted Junior Achievement by performing due diligence on the Maplewood property.

In order to perform the due diligence on this property, Keewaydin negotiated a favorable contract with Michaud Cooley Erickson to provide Junior Achievement with complete mechanical, electrical and structural inspection services.

The site appeared to have a drainage problem, and the parking lot looked in disrepair.  So, Keewaydin contacted Northwest Bituminous to determine the condition of the parking lot and ascertain what repairs would likely be necessary.

Upon their completion, Keewaydin summarized the mechanical, electrical and structural reports.  Included in this summary, Keewaydin provided Junior Achievement a list of building items that needed to be completed and a cost estimate to do so.  Keewaydin also obtained bids to provide the maintenance needs identified in Northwest Bituminous' report.

Keewaydin's assistance allowed Junior Achievement to comfortably proceed with the purchase of the property for "Exchange City."
