Global Paradox - John Naisbitt - (Morrow,1994) - Naisbitt maintains that while there will be economic alliance globally, countries of the world will still be independent politically and culturally. He sees the global paradox to be "the bigger the world economy, the more powerful its smallest players". One central theme throughout this book is that he believes tourism is and will continue to be the world's largest industry. The modern age of communication and electronics is creating a growing interest in other countries and cultures.

"There will be a massive change in what we buy, the way we buy it and what happens when the buying stops," she said. The book is still very useful. The current version is updated a bit, but is not significantly changed
